Kjell Engman - The Music of Glass

Music and glass – two lifelong passions for the artist and designer Kjell Engman. In The Music of Glass, he unites these elements in his mythical glass orchestra – a resonant, imagination-sparking, joy-filled result of his fifty-five–year career as a glass artist.
Like a storyteller, Engman creates an imaginative scenography of glass, light, and sound. Through his figures and objects, his installation conveys a world of rhythm, movement, and zest for life.

Kjell Engman
Kjell Engman was born in Stockholm and educated at Konstfack and the Pilchuck Glass School in the USA. Since 1978 he has been active at Kosta Boda. He lives on Öland and works in his studio in Kosta.
