Fars Glas – Swedish for father’s glass – is today something of a cult classic. Small wonder, as its designer Erik Höglund is considered one of the industry greats of the last century. Starting his professional career at Boda glassworks in the early fifties, he was a key figure in ushering in a new era and form in Swedish design. Apart from Höglund’s expertise in glass, he was also active as a painter, sculptor, and graphic artist. 

Fars Glas is a mouth-blown wine glass with simplistic lines and a markedly robust shape, and a cherished item in Kosta Boda’s product archive.
