Since 2021, the foundation has also supported the education of glassblowers and glass artists at the National School of Glass (Riksglasskolan) by awarding a scholarship of 10,000 SEK to a promising graduating student.

In 2019, the Vallien family, Orrefors Kosta Boda, and the Robert Weil Family Foundation decided to carry forward Ulrica Hydman Vallien’s legacy by establishing a foundation in her name. One of the foundation’s tasks is to annually award a scholarship to a young, promising, and original artist. The scholarship consists of 90,000 SEK and the opportunity for the recipient to develop their artistic practice in collaboration with Orrefors Kosta Boda at the glassworks in Kosta. The foundation’s board consists of Hampus Vallien from the Hydman Vallien family, Lina Sjöquist, Secretary General of the Robert Weil Family Foundation, Maria Lomholt, Head of Art Glass at Orrefors Kosta Boda, Joanna Sandell Wright, Director of Liljevalchs Konsthall, and Hedvig Hedqvist, design critic and author. The statutes were established by the foundation’s board.
